Effective September 26, 2026. Publisher: dmi3000.
This policy describes the Your Library for Discogs Chrome extension. Its purpose is to match Discogs releases to music on a Navidrome server you choose and play that music in an embedded player.
The extension handles your Navidrome server address, username, password during login, authentication tokens, and an optional Discogs API token. It also handles the current Discogs release URL and ID, release metadata, catalog searches, album and track metadata, artwork, audio, playback actions, and the matches and preferences you save.
Your password and Navidrome authentication information are sent to the server you select to sign in and access your library. Discogs release IDs are sent to the Discogs API to obtain release metadata. If you supply a Discogs token, it is sent to that API. Catalog searches, album/track requests, artwork requests, and streaming requests go to your chosen Navidrome server. Connections use HTTPS.
The extension has no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or developer-operated data collection endpoint. Its publisher does not receive your music, credentials, searches, or browsing activity through the extension. Information is not sold or used for advertising, credit decisions, or purposes unrelated to matching and playback.
The services you connect to, including their hosting or proxy providers, receive network information such as your IP address and may retain request logs under their own policies. Streaming authentication parameters may appear in your Navidrome server or proxy logs. Contact the relevant service operator about its retention and access practices. The extension does not control those services.
The extension does not save your password. Authentication tokens, including any optional Discogs token, are kept in Chrome's memory-backed session storage and are cleared when that session ends. You must sign in again after restarting Chrome. Reloading, disabling, or updating the extension can also clear session storage.
Your server address, username, playback preferences, remembered release-to-album matches, and per-release collapse choices are stored locally in your Chrome profile until removed. They are not synchronized through Chrome Sync by this extension. On upgrade from an older version, saved authentication tokens are moved from persistent extension storage into session memory and their persistent copies are removed.
Metadata and audio are held as needed for playback. When direct seeking is unavailable, one full track may be buffered in memory to allow accurate seeking; this buffer is released on track changes or when the player closes. Chrome and the connected servers may maintain their own caches.
Use Disconnect in Settings to remove the extension's stored settings, remembered matches, and session credentials. Reload or close open player tabs to stop existing streams and discard their active playback state. You may remove a saved release match individually, clear the optional Discogs token, revoke site access in Chrome, or uninstall the extension. Clearing extension data does not remove logs or caches held by the services you used. Revoking credentials on your server may be necessary to invalidate previously issued tokens.
Data is used only for the extension's stated matching and playback features, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. Authentication data is not placed in the Discogs page's DOM. Playback runs in a separate extension-origin frame, and access to extension storage is restricted to trusted extension contexts. No software can guarantee absolute security.
For privacy questions, use the publisher contact email displayed on this extension's Chrome Web Store listing. You can also raise general questions through GitHub Issues; issues are public, so do not include credentials or other private information. This policy will be updated when the extension's data practices change, with a revised effective date.
